Australian Photography Awards (APA) is one of the most celebrated photographic competitions in Australia. Since launching in 2016 we continue to discover Australia’s most original, honest and thought-provoking photography. We celebrate diversity and feel photography is a powerful medium for bringing people together and promoting understanding. We are searching for imagery which deepens our understanding and allows us to see from a unique perspective. Each year we reward emerging talent alongside some of Australia’s most established photographers. The rights of our entrants always come first and foremost and copyright always stays with the entrant.

In 2020 we are excited to offer eight diverse categories including Portrait, Landscape, Wildlife / Animal, Documentary, Travel / Street & Open / Illustrative alongside Student and Junior (13 and under). We extend a huge prize pool of cash & cameras along with the opportunity to have your work published and considered by a committee of some of Australia’s best visual artists.

APA is open to any persons residing within Australia or any person living outside of Australia with Australian citizenship. Content of the photographs does not need to be Australian. Entries begin at AUD$28 per image with discount packages available.

NYC4PA Call for Entry – BLACK AND WHITE

NYC4PA Call for Entry – BLACK AND WHITE

NYC4PA BLACK AND WHITE

It is time for NYC4PA to revisit one of our favorite themes, Black and White. It is our homage to the beginnings of photography before the dramatic change that came about when color film was introduced.

Send us your monochrome images where all the emotion, texture and beauty are expressed in shades from white to dark. No matter if your original image was shot with tri x, a digital SLR, or your phone, if the end product is a terrific Black and White, it fits the call. Sepia will be accepted.

As with all NYC4PA calls all 2D photo mediums are welcome.
