2021 Open Photographic Print Contest & Exhibition

2021 Open Photographic Print Contest & Exhibition

The Paper Arts Collective announces its 2021 print contest, open to fine art printers of all levels. The Collective is dedicated to advancing the art of digital photographic printing. Here’s a chance to showcase your fine art printing and have it exhibited in an art gallery outside of Washington, D.C.
Aside from great equipment and cash prizes, winners will have their winning images printed large in the Collective’s professional studio for the exhibition. We will also post an interview with all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in one of our online publications.
There will be First, Second and Third place cash and prizes, as well as Honorable Mentions. In summary:
  • There are two (2) categories: Color and Black & White.
  • You may submit up to 6 prints, divided as you wish between the two categories.
  • All prints must be on 8.5″ x 11″ or A4 paper.
  • You may print on any fine art paper you choose.
  • Entrants who submit 3 or more prints will receive a link to a free copy of “The Art of the Gallery Show”, a work that walks you through every aspect of landing and managing a successful fine art exhibition.
The deadline for submissions is June 30, 2021.

FotoNostrum Portrait Award 2021

FotoNostrum Portrait Award 2021

FotoNostrum Looks For Portraits Made By Photographers That Are: BOLD, ORIGINAL, AWARE, UNCONVENTIONAL, CREATIVE, MOTIVATED.
We believe that an Award is as significant as the quality of its judging team. This is why we have invited a group of seven jurors that have in common to be master portrait photographers. Selected images in this Portrait Award will be chosen and backed by masters with different selection criteria. However, all will be focusing on five main aspects of the photograph: concept, execution, boldness, creativity and emotional impact, making the viewer think and feel what the image is transmitting.
The Jurors of the 2021 edition are Adam Ferguson, Art Streiber, Barbara Davidson, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Justine Tkallinks, Sandro Miller, and Steve McCurry.

NYC4PA Call for Entry – WANDERING CURVES

NYC4PA – WANDERING CURVES
The world around us is filled with all kinds of shapes. For this call the focus is on images where a curve or curves is a critical element. Whether you photograph in the city, the suburbs or the country the possibilities are endless. Is it a winding road, a stack of old tires, a 1950s automobile head or taillight? Or do you see the curvaceous form of an elephant’s trunk when feeding, the curl of a giant wave or even a closer view of a head full of curls. Curves are all around us. Capture them as a dominant element of your images and send them in.
As with all calls, all 2D photographic art is accepted.
